Scholarships

In the 2023-2024 academic year, MacDowell Music Club awarded $6,600 in scholarships to students in the Rock County community.

The MacDowell Music Club offers two kinds of music scholarships: Continuing Education Scholarships, which are non-auditioned scholarships awarded in the fall, and Achievement Scholarships, which are auditioned for and awarded in the spring. The scholarships are for students up through 12th grade, depending on the particular scholarship.

Continuing Education Scholarships:

These music scholarships are for prospective or current music students who are in financial need. Teachers may fill out an application recommending up to two current or prospective students to receive this scholarship. Applicants may apply in consecutive years for the Continuing Education Scholarship. The purpose of these scholarships is to pay for private music lessons to those students who otherwise may not have the opportunity.

Scholarship monies are awarded to the students in October, as checks made out to the teacher, and are approximately $300 per scholarship. Scholarships included in this category are the Renick Ross Scholarship and the MacDowell Scholarships. One or more scholarships are awarded out of this fund each year at the discretion of the Scholarship Committee. Deadline for applications is Oct 1, 2023. If you have any questions, please email mmcscholarshipcommittee@gmail.com

DEADLINE FOR APPLICATIONS IS SUNDAY, OCTOBER 1, 2023.

ONLY AN ELECTRONIC VERSION OF THE APPLICATION FORM WILL BE ACCEPTED!
